Botswana

Afrotropical

Botswana is arguably the wildest safari in the world. Thousands of kms of amazing off-road driving in the true wilderness, surrounded by lions, elephants, hippos, buffalos, landscapes dominated by termite mounds, giant baobabs, and endless sunsets.
After equipping our off-road car with plenty of food, water and petrol, we headed to cross the Kalahari desert, and visit the wildest reserves in the country: Okavango, chobe, Nxai Pan, Makgadigadi Pans, Central Kalahari….
Our campsites were invaded in the night by elephants and hippos, and the never-ending night roaring of lions.
We enjoyed the largest mammal migration of Africa, colourful bee-eaters, endangered wild dogs, rhino sanctuaries, imposing fish eagles, drunk elephants, sneaky honey badgers, 4×4 water crossing, and millennial baobabs that have sheltered both the Khoisan and nineteenth-century explorers.
Botswana is, undoubtedly, the best adventure safari on the African continent.
